What is Towerless?
Towerless is a passive, receive-only node that records configured radio activity at your site, transcribes it locally, and builds a searchable, timestamped operational record. It does not transmit, does not interfere with existing radios, and does not require changes to your operation.
Does it transmit?
Towerless is not designed to transmit on monitored radio channels or broadcast radio frequency energy as part of its monitoring function. It is a passive, receive-only device. Towerless cannot be used for ATC, dispatch, emergency command, aircraft separation, navigation, or life-safety decisions.
Can it capture every transmission?
No system can guarantee capture of every transmission. Towerless captures configured radio activity within range and within configured frequency bands. Range depends on environment, antenna placement, terrain, and signal conditions.
Do I need Wi-Fi?
No. While you can connect via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, Towerless can be configured with an optional LTE module for remote deployments where power is the only requirement.
How long is operational data retained?
By default, captured audio is retained for 30 days. Transcripts, timestamps, and event metadata are retained according to your service tier: 30 days on Essential, 365 days on Professional, and up to 7 years (configurable) on Command. Custom retention ranges and deletion can be configured at any time.
Is the data private?
Customers retain ownership of operational records generated by their deployed Towerless hardware. Air Signal Labs does not sell personal data, site data, signal data, transcripts, receiver locations, or deployment details. Customer audio, transcripts, receiver location, site identity, and deployment configuration are not used for model training without express permission.
When will it ship?
First shipments are currently estimated for Q1 2027. Shipment timing is an estimate and may change based on production readiness, supply chain conditions, testing, regulatory review, and final configuration. Reservation holders will be contacted before production to confirm configuration, pricing, and shipping details.
Why should I reserve a spot?
Reservations help Air Signal Labs prioritize real deployment sites, size the first production batch, and confirm final configurations before production scales. Your reservation secures your place in line and locks early-adopter pricing before production begins.
Does reserving mean my hardware is ready immediately?
No. Towerless is currently in founder-operated validation. First shipments are estimated Q1 2027. Reservation holders will be contacted before production to confirm configuration and timing.
Is there any cost or commitment to reserve?
No. Reserving your spot is completely free and carries no financial obligation today. Before manufacturing begins, Air Signal Labs will contact you to confirm configuration, final pricing, and timing. You can cancel your reservation at any time.
